The Hob Cover First came about back in 2008 when installing our new kitchen.
Realising after the sink and then the hob went in place just how much work top you lose.

Having been in the metal industry for over 25 years making many prototype products for various people,
the idea of an aluminium cover was soon developed.

The first design came into place as four equal sides which covered the hob and this soon became a
valued asset to the kitchen. Not only maximising our kitchen space but complimenting its surroundings as well.

Shortly after, it was brought to our attention that other people would also benefit from these covers so I decided to try and advertised them on Ebay to see if they would sell. Within days I knew this was a good idea as orders and questions came flooding in.

This then became the beginning of Hob Covers Direct.

A few months later came the second design of reducing the rear flange, which not only gives you the function of a temporary splash-back. Protecting your tiles or existing stainless splash-back, it also gives adequate breathing room for your hob to cool down so it can be covered after use, Protecting little fingers and also wandering pets.
